High pressure water blasting technology
Concrete removal – mechanical (Hydrodemolition)
To use the economic and time advantage of high pump capacities, we use machine-guided nozzles on high-pressure units from 360kW upwards. The occurring recoil forces are safely absorbed by the specially developed robots. Our trained operators enter the desired dimensions into a program prior to operation and adjust it during cutting time due to changing ground conditions, such as concrete quality, etc.
Possible applications include for example:
Removal of damaged structures, exposure of reinforcement, making grooves for insertion of additional reinforcement, removal of concrete batches, without damage to concrete reinforcement.
Due to our comprehensive machinery we can also respond flexibly to large projects.
Concrete removal – manual
Hard to reach or small areas make access by heavy machines often impossible. This is where hand-held concrete removal comes into place. We use high pressure pumps up to a maximum capacity of 124kW for this process.
Paint marking removal
The removal of paint, thermoplastic and structural marks on concrete and asphalt surfaces is carried out in our company by uing 2500 bar high pressure water technology.
Pressure and angular velocity of the rotating nozzle beam will be adjusted depending on the nature of the surface. Water and abrasives will be simultaneously absorbed and stored in the vehicle for pre-sedimentation.
Area performance depends on thickness, type of marker and the nature on the ground. Normally, it is between 75m2 and 300m2/h. With working widths between 220mm and 1500mm, both lines and surface markers are efficiently removed.
Friction improvement on paved surfaces
Even before the criterion of the coefficient of friction on road surfaces in public transport had become a safety issue, the company Röhsler & Co had focused on this problem with their structure-conserving practices.
The combination of 2,500 bar maximum pressure water jets, hydraulic-driven nozzles with variable rotational speed, a carrier vehicle with a hydrostatically driven slow-moving drive, integrated vacuum absorption and nozzles fitted to the current surface allow a structurally protective and reproducible spray pattern.
The improvement of friction is accomplished, inter alia, through the selective removal of the friction-reducing separating layers of binder (in the case of asphalt it is bitumen) and the processing of the polished grain. On the finished surface, a friction coefficient of at least 0.59 my at a measurement speed of 65 km / h measured by using a friction meter (Friction Tester – measurement by means of towed wheel to a defined water film, analog RVS 11 066) are achieved.
Surface treatment – mechanical
Possible applications include for example:
- Surface preparation before sealing / insulation with the 1000 and 2800 bar water jet method to bridges, tunnels, parking decks, etc. with large self-propelled equipment, and with integrated vacuum absorption
- High pressure water blasting prior to rehabilitation of surfaces of a tunnel
Surface treatment – manual
High pressure water blasting of concrete, stone, brick and plaster surfaces to
- remove coatings
- remove damaged layers
- remove atmospheric contamination
- remove growth
- roughen e.g. sprayed concrete preparations
