Asbestos abatement contaminant removal
Asbestos
Asbestos is the generic term for naturally occurring silicate minerals with fibrous structure. The most commonly used types of asbestos are chrysotile (white asbestos) and crocidolite (blue asbestos). Asbestos is a known carcinogen.
An impressive array of physical and technical characteristics, helped the asbestos in achieving to a high penetration rate, especially for use of fire protection but also for sound and heat insulation.
Priority of Asbestos Abatement
The priority of a renovation can be classified based on a points scale. The decisive criterion is the type of embedding of the fibers in the overall material. These materials are to be distinguished in weakly bonded or strongly bonded asbestos products.
Examples of weakly bonded asbestos products:
- Spray Asbestos
- Asbestos cardboards
- Asbestos textile, asbestos rope seals
Examples of strongly bonded asbestos products
- Asbestos cement sheets, eg. Eternit
- Seals (Klingerit, ..)
The asbestos abatement will be carried out strictly according to the legal requirements and under the surveillance of external experts.
The abatement process will be adapted to the conditions on site so that renovations are possible during operation.
We realize customer needs through our flexibility and know-how.
Asbestos abatement methods
Asbestos abatement – Method I –
“Removal of asbestos-containing products”
Stripping or disassembly of the asbestos-containing products, treatment of the hazardous wastes using suitable methods to prepare them for dumping, subsequent dumping of the conditioned and marked wastes.
Asbestos abatement – Method II –
“Dustproof enclosure of asbestos-containing products”
Creating a permanently dustproof separation between the asbestos-containing product and the environment with stable components and permanently elastic joints, including marking of the asbestos-containing products.
Asbestos abatement – Method III –
“Compaction and coating (sealing) of asbestos-containing products”
Creating a permanently dustproof protective layer between the asbestos-containing product and the environment via compaction and coating including marking of the asbestos-containing products.
Asbestos dust extraction and solidification
With high-performance vacuum suction units, suction capacity up to 5,500 m3/h, compaction in a closed system.
Extension of the suction unit including receiver silo 20 m3, feeder with recording, compulsory mixer and cement receiver silo with screw feeding, including distributing device for big bags or lined skips – daily output up to 45 t (single-shift operation).
